Chien-Ming Wang

Chien-Ming Wang just picked up a ring from the World Series, and now Nike was graced him with his own kicks. While he was just associated with a pair of PE's, he just got his own snazzy pair of Trainers to floss in. Featuring the traditional Yankees colorway, the heel is embroidered with the Chinese character that represents his name.  

Chien-Ming Wang, the Tawian pitcher for the NY Yankees is a well known sneaker enthusiasts who has personally had the chance to collaborate with Nike in the past. In their efforts to promote the Trainer 1 to the worlds greatest athletes Nike has hooked Wang up with his very own PE model. The sneakers feature you usually Yankees-esque colorway of navy blue and white with accents of silver on the mid section of the upper breaking up the color.

No sooner than they've wiped all the remaining confetti from their hair, Andy Pettitte , Johnny Damon , Hideki Matsui , Eric Hinske , Jerry Hairston Jr. , and Jose Molina will all file for free agency, leaving Yankee GM B  

Friday's championship parade was pure joy to most Yankees , but it unleashed a flood of mixed emotions for Chien-Ming Wang . The righthander, who had shoulder surgery on July 29, said he has felt "sad" at times during the Yanks' postseason run because he could not contribute on the field. "I couldn't do anything," he said.

Moments after Joe Girardi had guided the Yankees to their 27th World Series championship, someone asked if he was going to change his uniform number from 27 to 28 to reflect his desire to repeat. Girardi joked that if the price was right for the No. 28 jersey he might consider it. Apparently it was, because yesterday Girardi said he is going to wear No. 28 next year.

I think I will. I've got to talk to Shelley Duncan to see if he'll allow me to wear it, but I think I'm going to make a number change   -Joe Girardi
